LASIK Consultation in Spring Hill

Expert consultations & LASIK post-op care

Would you love to wake up and see the world without reaching for contact lenses or eyeglasses? If you’ve been searching for LASIK in Spring Hill, a consultation is a great way to find out whether laser vision correction is right for you. At Spring Hill Eyecare, we’ll walk you through what to expect, coordinate care with a trusted LASIK surgeon, and stay closely involved before and after your procedure.

Our team of eye doctors partners with established LASIK surgeons, so you have consistent guidance from a familiar office, plus surgical expertise for the procedure itself.

What happens at a LASIK consultation

Your visit starts with a thorough eye exam and detailed testing to learn how your eyes are functioning today—not just what you can see on a chart.

During your consultation, we typically:

  • Measure your prescription and confirm it’s been stable
  • Map the shape of your cornea using corneal topography
  • Check corneal thickness and other key measurements
  • Evaluate eye health and screen for issues that can affect healing or comfort, including dry eye
  • Ask about your daily life, work, hobbies, and vision goals

If LASIK seems like a good fit, we’ll connect you with a trusted surgeon and discuss the next steps. If it isn’t the right option for your eyes, we’ll review other approaches that can still help reduce your reliance on glasses or contact lenses.

Who is a good candidate for LASIK?

Wondering if you qualify for LASIK? Many people do, but candidacy depends on a few important factors. You may be a good candidate if you:

    • Are at least 18, and your prescription has been stable
    • Have healthy eyes and adequate corneal thickness
    • Don’t have uncontrolled eye conditions or diseases that impact vision
    • Aren’t pregnant or nursing
    • Don’t have an extremely high prescription (nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism)

We’ll review your full eye health history and your test results together, leaving plenty of time for questions.

Co-management for LASIK surgery and follow-up care

Spring Hill Eyecare also provides LASIK co-management, which often includes:

      • Pre-op testing and preparation in our office
      • Communication and coordination with your LASIK surgeon
      • Post-op follow-ups

Most people are seen again within 24–48 hours after surgery. We’ll monitor healing, check vision progress, and help you stay comfortable. If you experience post-surgery dryness or irritation, we can recommend options for relief and provide dry eye treatment.
